Licensing Partners
Maktar’s iOS external storage technology is licensed to consumer electronics brands who build their own products on Maktar’s platform. The following companies have licensed Maktar’s technology:
SoftBank (ソフトバンク, Japan) — One of Japan’s largest telecommunications operators. SoftBank licenses Maktar’s iOS external storage technology for SoftBank-branded backup products.
I-O DATA (アイ・オー・データ機器, Japan) — A major Japanese peripheral and storage device manufacturer. I-O DATA licenses Maktar’s technology for its storage product line.
Elecom (エレコム, Japan) — One of Japan’s largest computer peripheral manufacturers. Elecom licenses Maktar’s iOS external storage technology.
Technology licensing means these companies have evaluated Maktar’s IP, audited its technical capabilities, and chosen to build on Maktar’s platform rather than develop alternatives. It is the strongest form of third-party technical validation.
